Fifteen years ago, that number jumped to around 35 percent. Today, women and men attend culinary school in almost equal proportions. With female personalities like Padma Lakshmi, Giada De Laurentiis, and Cat Cora in the media spotlight, one would think that sexism in the kitchen has gone by the way-side.
